Synopsis
The Kiñe Rupa series introduces us to Segundito and his grandmother Paskuala, who share their days in the valleys of Araucanía , far from the city. There is always something to do, such as toasting wheat, making bread or chopping wood, but that doesn’t mean things are boring. On the contrary, among laughter and crazy songs, Segundo will discover the most amazing Mapuche stories about witches, animals that turn into humans, secret caves and life under the sea. He will finally find out who made it rain until the earth was flooded and who saved the families from becoming fish forever. Together with his inseparable cat and thanks to his mischievous grandmother, Segundo will get to know what the nütram are and the different ways the Mapuche have of telling their stories.
In the third episode of Kiñe Rupa, grandmother Paskuala suspects there is a meeting of witches and, while roasting wheat, she remembers the story of the witch Ilwen, who unwittingly turned her nephew into a dog. This is how we meet the real kalku, the Mapuche witches.
