It’s September 2019, and elders Tommy Yellowhead and Stephen Neshinapaise travel by canoe from the Nibinamik Nation to the ancient PinnaeMootang village where they were both born. They are accompanied by a small group of young people to share their traditional knowledge with them and inspire all Matawa Nations to reconnect across their lakes, rivers and trails, just as they have for thousands of years.
