Synopsis

The film Words from the Daughters of the Mayab is part of a communication campaign launched by different women from indigenous collectives in Guatemala (UK’UX B’E Mayan Association, Waquib’ Kej, Association for Justice, El Observador, Women Crossing the Line and the Council of K’iches Peoples) which seeks to create spaces for information and training on environmental and gender issues in the Mayab territory, as well as make visible and support the resistance of communities where mining or hydroelectric projects are planned.
