Synopsis
The micro-documentary highlights an emblematic leader of the Mapuche People of Puel Mapu (Eastern Land), Logko Antonio Salazar, from the Lof Epu Pewen of the Pewence zone, Alumine-Newken. In 1995, Logko Salazar, the political and philosophical authority of our people, took the lead in the struggle to reclaim and reaffirm community territories, which since 1988 had been placed under the jurisdiction of the Corporación Interestadual Pulmarí. This resulted in limiting the use of community land for ancestral activities for the communities in the region.
