Weckuwapasihtit (Those Yet to Arrive)

To the east of the occupied territory now called North America, the children of Koluskap call upon ancestral knowledge for guidance. Revitalising the cultural practices maintained by their elders, the young Peskotomuhkati lead an intergenerational process of healing through the revival of athasikuwi-pisun, tattoo medicine.

Weckuwapasihtit was produced as part of the first season of the Reciprocity Project, a collaborative multimedia platform and series of short films made in collaboration with indigenous storytellers and their communities around the world.
