Synopsis

With his narration, Don Miguel López, one of the oldest members of the community, takes us to the magical world he used to live in. A beautiful world, embellished only by nature with its thousands of exotic colours and aromas, at that time reigned over only by beautiful animals and birds.

However, with deep sorrow, Don Miguel tells us that a strange culture arrived, with the intention to destroy what was there; a culture where everything is bought and sold. He goes on to narrate how the indigenous people have been integrated into that strange culture and have forgotten their own ways. The world that Don Miguel once lived in has gone and will never return.

The Death of the Ancient Dream is an excellent video documentary and invitation to meditate on the magical world that has been lost because of our recklessness.
