Synopsis
The Lof Cayun Panicheo maintains a close and profound relationship with its ancestral territory, the Puelo River basin, based on the traditional Mapuche way of life, which has, in turn, meant the protection and conservation of Itrofillmongen (biodiversity). However, this territory now faces multiple threats of exploitation. For this reason, the Lof Cayun Panicheo has developed a proposal for a Mapuche Conservation Area called “Len Ko Winkul Mapu” (mountain territory of water and cypresses).
