Synopsis
Maize, Life for the People is the second episode of the documentary series Territorial Autonomies. Led by Derly “Montañita”, a young artist of the Nasa people, we walk through the cold mountains of eastern Cauca to learn how the elderly people resist by planting and eating corn.
This episode is part of the third season of Territorial Autonomies, a documentary series from the department of Cauca produced by the Regional Indigenous Council of Cauca (CRIC). The series delves into different art forms that indigenous communities have long practiced, some of the disharmonies that occur in these territories and how art reinvents itself to address these conflicts and heal the wounds that remain.
