Synopsis

Every year, Bachajón, a town nestled in the foothills of the Chiapas mountains, becomes the scene of a pitched battle between what they call “Kabinales” (caribes or savages) and the civilised society that populated the community of Bachajón, recalling the events of centuries ago. Today, it is a source of mockery over five days, from Friday to Tuesday before Ash Wednesday, marking the beginning of Lent.
