Synopsis

Three young women from the Shipibo people, hailing from the native community of Limongema in the Peruvian Amazon, recreate their daily lives, which unfold between activities tied to their traditional roles and the contemporary urban life with which they identify. In this back-and-forth between the two, they reflect on the past and present of the young women of the Shipibo people, exploring the balance between tradition and modernity.

This participatory video was created as part of the Participatory Video Workshop for the Limongema community (2021), under the “Jakon Jati” project.
