Synopsis
In Tirúa, a commune of Mapuche origin in southern Chile, the traditions and practices of the territory are threatened by the forestry industry and the pine and eucalyptus monoculture. Prosperino (65) is ngutamcheveand kimche, and practices and teaches Mapuche medicine using native plants. Carmen (48) seeks to recover territory lost to monoculture by reforestation with native species. Without knowing each other, they share a common struggle against the disappearance of the native forest and all that this means.
