Synopsis
The “Indigenous Youth of Indonesia” called on their brothers who live in the cities and had completed their studies to return to the community. They called it the “return home movement.” The youth are driving new models of sustainable rural development, creating organic gardens, medicinal herb gardens, and incorporating educational tourism. So far, 30 agricultural groups initiated by returning youth have emerged. They are also passing on their knowledge and culture by running 82 indigenous school programs.
