Synopsis
One imagines that the ways of life of indigenous peoples, their achievements and the problems that burden them are different just because they come from a different place, but A Different Look… For a More Dignified Future shows us this is not the case. The colours of their clothing may be different, but the colour of their heart is one; the sounds of their music may be different, but the joy that accompanies them is one. The languages they speak may be different, but the problems that afflict them daily are one; the community work may be different, the hope that keeps them alive is one: the hope for a more dignified future.
A Different Look… For a More Dignified Future takes us to three indigenous regions of Mexico: the northern highlands of Veracruz, land of the Otomi people; the south of Veracruz, land of the Nahua and Popoluca; and the jungle of Chiapas, land of the Choles and Tzeltal, to provide a closer look at this reality.
