Synopsis

Bibiru is the story of a kaikuxi (dog) that runs out of panema (luck) for hunting, and the attempt of its owner Waranaré Wayama to recover its abilities. In a collective hunt, a group of youngsters learns from the old the origins of the ancestral dogs and the precautions they have to follow while hunting. The hunt is also the stage of reflections about relations between humans and no humans, which are an everyday occurrence aswell as a cosmologic order. Every picture was taken by the young Wayana and Aparai in the village of Bona, in the State of Pará (Brazil).
