Synopsis

The Portawe Lelfvn is a space of special significance for Mapuche life, where for countless generations, a ceremony called Kontvtrayenko has been practiced, which is related to ancestral knowledge of climatology. Currently, due to the introduction of exotic forest species, Portawe Lelfvn is being severely damaged. Additionally, forestry companies legally own the land and maintain pine and eucalyptus plantations. The Traditional Authorities have undertaken a process of recognition, territorial recovery, and the protection and restoration of the biological and spiritual balance of the sacred site Portawe Lelfvn.
