Synopsis
Esteban Ortíz is a Féenemina’a indigenous man who left his parents’ territory to study high school in Bogotá. Although he occasionally returned, he showed no interest in his father’s work. He walked the white man’s path, suffered and enjoyed it, until at the age of 30, “already old!” he says, when the city overwhelmed him and he decided to return and put down roots with his father. Esteban is happy because he lives the legacy of the word of life of the grandfather of tobacco, because, as he says: “The word does not die, the word does not get wet, it does not fall. We as humans do. There comes a time when we are going to cease to exist, but the word is there.”
