Synopsis
In a desert by the sea, an indigenous culture survives toxic modernity. A rite of passage turns a girl into a woman. Generational estrangements hover over the memory, old traditional songs coexist with heavy rock, myth enters into narrative controversy and time, in slumber, falls into dreams of sand.
Sietefilos Xiica cmotomanoj is the first ever feature-length fiction film in the Seri language (Cmiique Iitom). It has touches of experimental cinema and is surprising in its innovation and subject matter.
